Diaper Bags
Obviously if you have a baby you will need a diaper bag. My question to anyone and everyone that reads this blog is how important is it? What features must I have? Is it worth spending more to get a nicer bag? If you have a girly diaper bad, how does your husband feel about carry it around? Any insight, recommendations or information would be greatly appreciated.

I love bags so I switch mine all the time. I really like the J.J Cole ones. With my girl I had to get a pink bag and I'm not sure how Justin feels about carrying it but I'm pretty sure his fav. is our Backpack diaper bag by Eddie Bauer (it looks just like a school backpack but had all the neat pockets inside) We still use this one for our older boys. I also just saw a really cute bag I want to get in American Eagle that I think would work great as a diaper bag. J.J cole also has little diaper bags, bottle carriers and binky carriers which are great because then you can just use them with any
bag.
Happy bag hunting!
I personally have used the same diaper bag since my baby was born, and it is basically one big bag with a little zipper pocket for a binkie. It might have been nice to have all the little pockets, but we are just fine with our $3 BYU-I bag. The binkie pocket is a must though! By the way, this is Mike's cousin Melissa. I saw your blog on my sister Julie's. Hopefully we'll see ya this weekend at the reunion.
I too switch bags. I have some dipater bags that wre meant for diapers and such and then others that I just thought were cute. I don't think Jon cares about the bag cuz if you are carry a baby most likely you carry the diaper bag. I have found though the more money you spend doesn't mean you get a better bag, sometimes just cuter and you get what you want.
I have found that I get a new bag for every baby. My bags just have gotten used to death. Over the babies I have found that bags that have just one deep pocket are just a "black hole". I never see the things on the bottom and I feel like Mary Poppins digging around for said item and when I finally get around to de-junking the bag I can't believe all the junk that collects down there. So, I would have to say that pockets are a must 'cause then you can see where stuff is. I say go for a pink diaper bag...or purple or whatever cute girly one you want. If you are carrying a baby girl then you can carry a girly bag (that's what Phillip thinks too). There is a website on the internet, I believe that it is called dudesanddivas.com and you can check out some great bags at a discounted price.
Well, I thought I would love to have tons of bags but really I hardly have the time or the energy to switch them out. However I found it nice to have one "heavy duty" bag usually a black on that can take the beating of being around town, and everywhere else, and back and maybe one that is a little more "dressy" for church or for outings that you would like to feel and look a little more put together (without all the stains and wear and tear). Just my observation through my 3 monkeys :)
The hospital gives you a free one and I have been happy with it!
